  • What is UX Design?

    Open or Close

User experience (UX) Design is a process that focuses on how people interact with a product. This process ensures that people (users) can complete tasks in the quickest time possible without much effort. UX Design is used to improve Websites, Apps and even physical products. A seamless interaction between users and products leads to more conversions and customer satisfaction. The opposite is also true, if users get confused or frustrated while trying to use your product, they will most likely opt for another.

    • Investing in UX from the get go can reduce costs down the line.

UX Designers don’t focus only on Aesthetics. They analyse how your customers/users interact with your product, using customer journey maps, find opportunities for improvement, and develop solutions with the end goal of improving your business revenue. Design methods, such as design thinking, can lead to improving your business metrics. Another important thing UX Designers do is a competition analysis. They scale you against your biggest competitors to see if there are any opportunities for learning. Then they tailor solutions which you an edge over the competition. It is also important to note that UX Designers will test the solutions on actual users, to ensure that whatever the product is, it is something people want and find useful.

    What is UX Design?

User Experience (UX) design is the part you don’t see when interacting with a product. Is the experience familiar and intuitive or does it require a lot of thinking? Does the navigation work or does it make you want to rearrange it? Does the app do what was advertised or does it coz anxiety and frustration, so much that you end up deleting it? User experience is determined by how easy or difficult it is to interact with the interface the UI designers have created. So UX designers are also concerned with an application’s user interface, and this is why people get confused about the difference between the two. But whereas UI designers are tasked with deciding how the user interface will look, UX designers are in charge of determining how the user interface operates.

    What is UI Design?

UI (User Interface) Design refers to the graphical layout of an application, website, etc. It is what you see when you access a Website or open a Mobile app. This includes the buttons you click on, the color palette used, style of imagery, transitions and animations. This is the look and feel of the product and UI Designers are responsible for this part of the process. The more Aesthetically pleasing the UI is, the easier it will be for users to find what they are looking for. Enhancing only the graphical interface, without doing the proper research will often not yield the intended results. Things shouldn’t just look pretty but they must work well for the user.
